The Pulitzer Prize drama Cat on a Hot Tin Roof comes to the Chipola College Theatre! Set in the Mississippi Delta plantation home of Big Daddy Pollitt, Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof examines the relationships among members of Big Daddy’s family. Brick, an alcoholic ex-football player, drinks his days away and resists the affections of his wife, Maggie “the Cat”. His reunion with his father, Big Daddy, who is dying of cancer, jogs a host of memories and revelations for both father and son. This performance features several recurring motifs, such as social mores, greed, superficiality, deception, decay, sexual desire, repression, and death.
